UPDATE ON MCKENZIE - SUNDAY

This is Sunday's updates on McKenzie and there are encouraging signs and a cause for giving thanks.

Sunday 7th.

\Sunday: A gift of another stable night. Tried her on a C-pap trial (check for readiness to come off ventilator) didn't do too well, ph was low. Going on dialysis for a few hrs. today. Hopefully getting a little more fluid off will help lungs. Doing well on feeds (5 ml hr.) Still no bleeding...

Sunday evening. Aug 7th

Kenzie received dialysis today, able to remove 600 ml of fluid. Chest x-ray much improved. Docs have increased her feeds to a whopping 10 ml hr. So far tolerating it well. She has slept most of day again. Pain level appears to have decreased greatly. Praying she can get extubated tomorrow...
