Our little girl off the ventilator

Good Morning

Welcome to am update on McKenzie - she is off the ventilator and doing okay. 

This is Mom's check in for Tuesday:

Extubated at 10:30 this morning, Went great, no problems. Sputum culture tested positive for pseudomonas. Docs think the bacteria had been colonizing on vent tubing. She is now running an elevated temp. 38.7/101.8. Please pray the antibiotics will take care of the infection...

This photograph is one we have longed to see - a smile.

Kenzie is going to have company in hospital Wednesday - Crosby will be checking in for at least an overnight stay - his liver numbers are up again and they are going to do a biopsy, so while you are storming heaven's gates please add him to your prayer list.

This child and this lovely young man are part of our transplant family and I know we will express the care and concern that families do.
